Let’s Swim Bahamas Presentation of Water Safety Cay Colouring & Activity Book

Let’s Swim Bahamas recognizes the importance of teaching children water safety rules as well as giving swimming lessons. Making safe decisions while swimming in a pool or the sea as well as when boating can save lives.

Let’s Swim Bahamas has printed over 26,000 copies of their Water Safety Cay Colouring and Activity Book to teach the children some of these rules. The Ministry of Education has reviewed the ook and endorses its use in the Primary schools of The Bahamas

During the 2014-2015 school year, the coaches of Let’s Swim Bahamas will attempt to visit every Primary school in The Bahamas where we will give a talk on Water Safety, present a Water Safety ook and pencil to the students, and give their teacher a Water Safety Poster.

On Tuesday, March 3, Algernon Cargill, President of the Bahamas Swimming Federation, visited Stephen Dillet Primary School to help Tim the Turtle and Snorkel the Potcake give the 791 students their Water Safety Books.
