Academic Swim Awards

Academic All Bahamas Swim Team Award 2011, BSF Clubs and BSF Members Nominate StudentAthletes with a GPA of 3.5 or higher who have represented the Bahamas on a national team or qualified to compete at the 2011 RBC National Swimming Championships

All swimmers who have obtained a GPA of 3.5 or above during the 2010-2011 academic year are requested to submit the form above with an electronic photograph to bsf_news@yahoo.com before the 1st June 2011.

The studentathletes will be recognized at the 2011 Bahamas National Swimming Championships .

Swift wins 10 Medals at Plantation

At the Florida Age Group Winter Championships over the weekend (November 17-20th,2011) held at the Plantation Swim Complex, Swift Swimming won 10 individual medals in finishing with 325 points for a 14th place overall finish and 10th place among the men (231 points) out of some 55 teams. The team performance had 14 swimmers making finals with a majority of personal best swims.
Bria Signs with Nebraska

Bria Deveaux has joined the impressive list of recent Baylor School swimmers moving on to NCAA Division I programs. The third-year Baylor boarder from the Bahamas signed a national letter of intent Tuesday night to go to Nebraska next year.

Swift at Masters Championships

For the past 5 years Swift Swimming has had it’s Masters swimmers attend and win medals at either the US Masters National Swimming Championships or the World Masters Swimming Championships. This past week once again saw Swift’s Masters win 7 medals at the 2011 U.S. Short Course Spring National Masters Swimming Championships.
